Photo Realistic Eye Candy
Discovered this artist’s work in Harrods recently and it’s colourful photo realistic style caught my eye! Sarah Graham is an exciting artist who creates fantastic fun work with subjects such as sweets & candy plus one of my favourite subjects VW camper vans, amoungst other themes to cheer up any room! Another painting to add to my wish list
Manhattan Colourful Concrete Jungle
On a recent trip to Bristol I found and purchased this postcard by Artist Alison Black. (although I would have loved the full sized print!)

The Chrysler building is by far my favourite NY building â in this painting it stands out so beautifully against the patchwork of other colourful buildings which combine to make the Manhattan skyline.

I love this image too of Bristol, it shows my favourite view – the colourful painted houses appear stacked up along the river side with the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the distance.

No commentsBrighton Rocks! Part 1
My first visit to Brighton was fab and will definatley not be my last, and whilst my trip was short & hectic I managed to have a good look around.
First of all on the seafront I found this poster for an Australian illustrator called “Jeremyville” who I recognised straight away from Computer Arts Magazine.
Apparently a Brighton Bookstore & Gallery castorandpollux was selling a limited poster by the artist, unfortunatley I didn’t get to the shop, but instead when I came home I found a few links on Jeremyville & flicked through my old magazines to find these examples of his fun Characters & amazingly busy illustrations, which he has created on all kinds of media including, 3D toys & clothing.
A scan of Computer Arts Magazine Issue June 2006 with a front and back cover ilustration by Jeremyville, who illustrated their article “50 Ways to become a better designer.”
Jeremyville also kindly gave away a few videos of him sketching to music in issue December 2006.
I’m going to put his new book on my Christmas wishlist:
” His latest book is called ‘Jeremyville Sessions’, featuring collaborations with Geoff McFetridge, Miss Van, Devilrobots, STRANGEco, Lego, Converse, MTV and Adidas. His art has been published in design books by IdN, Die Gestalten Verlag, All Rights Reserved, Victionary, MTV, Magma Books, Kidrobot, Faesthetic, Laurence King, Taschen and Pictoplasma.
Jeremyville has worked with clients such as Converse, Rossignol, Colette, Coca Cola, MTV, Kidrobot, Refill, Graniph in Japan, Adio Shoes, STRANGEco, Wooster Collective, Super Rad Toys, Play Imaginative, sketchel, Adidas, Tiger Beer and Tiger Translate, Artoyz in Paris, Domestic Vinyl in Paris, Corbis, Thunderdog, Red Bull, Pop Cling, 55DSL and Beck.”
