Went into Dublin on a sunny afternoon and visited sebastianguinnessgallery. The show was full of mad and vibrant street art and graffiti inspired art in a variety of media. The piece i like most was called “It’s not a laughing matter” by Joe Black, because of the way the image was created out of ball bearings.
I’ve always loved type and this piece definatley stands out!

But what i love the most about this type of art is it make you think when does graffitti become art….? personally i love most street art in all it’s forms, and it’s funny to think that art which started off controversially on the streets now sells for loads of cash in galleries!
(See my own photos of Bansky – probably the most famous street artist at the moment)
Anyway it’s worth popping in for a look atthis work and their next exhibtion is called “The Art of Chess” and starts 12th September.
Next time i pop into Temple Bar i plan to check out Versus http://www.turtlehead.ie/blog/ i hear they are selling threadless t-shirts who i am already i a fan of …………..

This morning i drove into Christchurch from the quays and saw this poster which looked very familiar. It is indeed an ebOY illustration for Coca Cola, which i think is V cool. I first heard bout ebOY in computer arts magazine a while ago, and I love the style of pixel mad city scapes! I Love the New York & London posters found on their site .
Have yet to buy one for my wall, but i wonder if they will product the Dublin image to buy aswell…
New Year, New York!
Happy 2008! Had another amazing trip to New York – wish i was there now!
It’s hard not to be inspired in this city, it’s true it never sleeps theres always something to see. My only disapointment was that the Guggenheim art gallery was covered in scaffolding, but still the sky light inside still looks as beautiful as ever:

During my recent visit to
I love the humour but also the way he mixes up popular images to create art which raises issues by contrasting serious images with some kind of twist.
I love the way now some buildings are effectively now part of a piece of artwork, and this photo I took of the trapped rose image which has now been framed is particulary ironic because some people would consider it grafitti yet others consider a piece of art worth framing and preserving. Does this mean a building would be worth more because of the art painted on it? Itâs weird how this art which is anti commercial and political has now become so valuable.
Iâve always loved various forms of street art, particulary in
